Solo Cornet - Nikki Williamson

Nikki started playing the cornet at the age of 10. She joined Stockport Schools Intermediate band shortly after, and has worked her way up through the bands. She is currently playing solo cornet with the Senior band. Nikki has had many brass teachers throughout her school life including Peter Fredrick, Peter Gray, and Sheona White. She is currently being taught by Pete Mannings (RNCM) at Aquinas College. Nikki is at Aquinas studying Maths, Media, Music and Biology. Some of the many great opportunities throughout Nikki's brass career so far have included playing in workshops with FP Fairey Band, along with holding the principal cornet postion at her High School, where she was given the opportunity to play alongside the worlds finest brass bands, including Black Dyke, Leyland and YBS.

Nikki hopes to further her career in banding, though wishes to go on the University to study Biology in the hope of taking a degree in Forensic Biology.
