1st Horn - Victoria Kenworthy-Nash

Victoria (Toria) started playing at age 8 and joined the Boarshurst Youth band. By 12 she had outgrown the youth band and found a place at Linithwaite Band with the help of her teacher Herbert Howarth.

Victoria spent her younger days playing and depping for many Yorkshire bands and being tutored in all things brass by Herbert Howarth as well as tutors from the Oldham Music service. At 15 Victoria moved back over the hill to Saddleworth and Lancashire.

Victoria has played with many bands including Greenfield, Uppermill, Linithwaite, Huddersfield and Ripponden, Eccles, Sale and, most recently, Boarshurst Silver.

Toria's most memorable
banding moment:

"Winning the area with Uppermill Band in 2008. The whole band even cheered after we had played, we were just that happy with how we had played".
