September 2024 – present
Ella started playing the cornet at the age of 6, first learning through the Houghton Area Youth band. She progressed into the first section band, Houghton Brass, where she began on the back row aged 10. Through this, she has had the opportunity to compete at the National Brass Band Championships three times, and perform at venues such as the Royal Albert Hall.
Alongside brass bands, Ella also played in a 9-piece folk rock band, where she had the opportunity to perform at many UK festivals, including Glastonbury in 2017.
Ella moved away from the North East in 2020 to study, and played with the University of Leeds Brass Band for three years. She moved to Manchester for her graduate job and joined the front row at Flixton.
