The Flixton Band remains in lockdown and the annual Service of Remembrance at the Stretford cenotaph had to be cancelled. The Royal British Legion called for people to mark the traditional 2-minute silence on their doorsteps. Today we learnt that the annual NW Area Championships, scheduled for February 2021, have been cancelled. As with so many functions this contest has fallen prey to lock-down.
