Concerts and Carols
Our concerts this Christmas have been an enormous success. We joined the Flixton Community Band at St Clement's Church on Friday 2nd December. Preparing for Remembrance
This Sunday the band will perform hymns before and during the service of Remembrance at the Stretford Cenotaph. Afterwards we will return to Flixton for a very welcome hotpot provided by the Flixton Ex-Servicemen's Association at the John Alker Club. The band has said a sad goodbye to our long-serving cornet player and band librarian, Soo Rose Cook. For a long time Soo has been instrumental to the running of the band and showed commitment 'beyond the call' by taking on percussion duties when temporarily unable to play cornet.
